Our Actors.
Chris plays the main protagonist of the film and sequence and is also my dad so I know his acting abilities well. Chris has worked with many people with mental illness before and so had experience with the role and was able to try and embody what we wanted him too. Chris looks perfect for the part too, his slightly greying hair but youthful face gave the impression of a immature and childish personality. Chris is also a story teller and so was happy being filmed as he is comfortable performing in front of others.
Pascal and Alex both played the antagonist of the piece. We started filming using pascal only but he couldn't make many of the filming sessions so we had to use Alex instead. Pascal we knew would be good as I am in the same a level drama group as me and so I have worked with him and know how good he is. pascal also lives in town and was happy to work with us, so he was a good choice. pascal we thought looked perfect for the part as chris told us he had dark hair as a teen and so pascal could then reflect a younger and different side to chris' personality.
Alex on the other hand had to step in for pascal as pascal couldn't film in the holidays. Alex i personally have known for two years and has been a friend of the group for about a year. When Alex found out we had no actor and were struggling for time too, he offered to help us out as we were in need of a new actor. Alex we decided would be a perfectly good option as, although he doesn't take drama as a subject, he enjoys it a lot and so we knew he would be good for the role in that sense. Although alex didn't have the desired dark hair like pascal we decided it didn't matter and our final film his blonde hair contrasted well with the dark setting of the seafront. We know him to be a quiet and reserved person, and him playing the quietly manipulate personality of Chris it went very well.
